This Is What Rosario + Vampire characters would look if they were real

We used AI to recreate the character’s from Rosario to Vampire as real people and the results will blow your mind!

With a help of some deep learning AI and a lot of elbow grease we’ve managed to bring the characters from Rosario + Vampire season 1 to life!

It’s hard to get a grasp of what some anime and manga characters would look like in real life. Although there are some good live-action adaptations around, the actor’s portraying their animated counterparts are often a bit too old. But that’s understandable considering the subject matter of most these animes.

So, we took the liberty of asking AI to recreate the main characters of Rosario to Vampire as real people, and this is what it came up with.

Tsukune Aono

Let’s start with the main character, Tsukune Aono. He is the main character and he’s the only human (or at least he thought he was human) in the show. Other than the fact that he’s a 15-year-old school boy who tends to be a bit shy and reserved, we didn’t have a lot to go on so this was the result.

Moka Akashiya

Moka Akashiya is Tsukono’s main love interest. She’s also in the same grade as him. She has two personalities: her outer-self which is the normal 15-year-old school girl, and her inner-self which is her ass-kicking vampire form.

We decided only to render her outer-self. Maybe next time we’ll do the inner-self version of Moka?

Mizore Shirayuki

Mizore Shirayuki is not like the other monster girls; she’s an introvert but not by choice. She spent many of her 15 years of her life being alone, that’s until she found Tsukune. She’s the snow fairy, she’s definitely different and we feel the AI did a perfect job capturing her personality.

Nailed it. Don’t you guys think? Doesn’t Mizore look real?!

Yukari Sendo

Well, uhhh… what can we say about Yukari Sendo? In the first season she’s only 11-years-old! Because of her big brain she was allowed to skip all the way to Tsukuno Aono’s grade. She probably is the most powerful one of the group but, at this stage, she hasn’t discovered the full potential of her magic.

Honestly, this is a bit creepy. Don’t you think?

Kurumu Kurono

Kurumu is the mischievous succubus monster girl. Like most of the other girls is Rosario + Vampire, she started off as a villain until Tsukune befriends them. She has short blue hair with bangs and purple hair slide. She’s also got some wicked demon wings, but sadly the AI isn’t that advanced… yet.

In this AI render Kurumu looks like a real school girl. It’s uncanny!

Again, these are supposed to be the Rosario + Vampire characters from season 1 and they are all very young there. Maybe next time we’ll do their older versions.

What’s next?

We’re only really getting used to this powerful AI and although we don’t think it was perfect, it did a pretty awesome job.
